Welp. It’s my second day back in real life. Waking up early to go write curriculum and attempting to get stuff done in the evening. Let me tell ya how I’m doing with that…not so good. Getting back into routines is H-A-R-D.
Our apartment is so full of things (gifts, luggage, leftover wedding decor) that I can’t figure out where to start. It’s seriously overwhelming. I is tired. In a mayjah way.
Plus I came down with this nasty you’ve been doing too much traveling and having too much fun cold thing. Not cool Robert Frost. So I’ve been giving myself a break with the whole routine thing.
This also translates to no gym. And I desperately need the gym. I haven’t worked out in over a month! GAH. And it means no cleaning. After a month away from the apartment, it needs a thorough cleaning. Maybe I’ll hire it be done. #Embarrassing
My cold is almost through and I’m ramping up to begin getting ish done. So here’s to routines! And gyming! And cleaning! And organizing! Please motivate me someone. Please.
Here’s what is going to get me through the gym and cleaning:
Some musical discoveries:
Lorde (real name, Ella). A New Zealand native, singer-songwriter. Fave jams? Royals (listen here) and Million Dollar Bills (here). Her whole EP, The Love Club, is delightful as well.
Robin Thicke’s album Blurred Lines. I’ve enjoyed his sexy crooning since Lost Without U.
Civil Wars’ album The Civil Wars. Ummm, they’re quite simply phenom. I adore them. And they have major drams, which is sad for them but intriguing.
Yay for tunage that gets us through!
